FAN EXPO Denver will take place this fall, July 1–3, 2022!
FAN EXPO Denver is a three-day, family-friendly fan convention that takes place at the Colorado Convention Center. The event features the best in comics, along with popular sci-fi and fantasy TV shows, movies, Japanese animation, cosplay (fan-created costumes and costumed skits), toys, gaming and celebrity panel presentations. For more information, visit FAN EXPO Denver's website.
So far, the celebrity lineup includes the likes of Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd ("Lord of the Rings"); Charlie Hunnam ("Sons of Anarchy"); Ming-Na Wen ("The Book of Boba Fett" and "Mulan"); Carl Weathers, Katee Sackhoff and Gina Carano ("The Mandalorian"); Ashley Eckstein (Star Wars: The Clone Wars"); Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, Brian O'Halloran, Trevor Fehrman and Jeff Anderson ("Clerks"); Anthony Daniels ("Star Wars"); Matthew Lewis ("Harry Potter"); Corey Feldman and Kerri Green ("The Goonies"); Caity Lotz and Jes Macallan ("Legends of Tomorrow"); and William Zabka, Martin Kove, Peyton List and Jacob Bertrand ("The Karate Kid" and "Cobra Kai")! Some of the superstar voice actors include Billy West ("Futurama"); Jessica Darrow ("Encanto"); Christy Carlson Romano and Will Friedle ("Kim Possible"); and Troy Baker ("The Last of Us"). Stay tuned for more guests, from cosplayers and gamers to voice actors, comic creators and authors.
Stop by Celebrity Summit to catch in-person celebrity interviews — and maybe even nab an autograph or professional photo op with your favorite star. Artist Valley is where you can meet over 400 artists, inkers, colorists and comic creators. Similarly, Author Alley gives fans access to favorite authors and publishers. Of course, cosplay is a huge part of the experience. Each year, there's a costume contest and a non-competitive Cosplay Catwalk to watch. You'll want to join the fun and dress up as your favorite superhero or video game, TV, movie or anime character. And if you're bringing the whole family, know that DPCC is ready for your kiddos, with activities like designing shields and masks to face painting to an all-ages stage with art lessons and entertainment.
Denver knows beer, so it's fitting that FAN EXPO Denver has its own brew. Each year, Breckenridge Brewery crafts a beer specifically for DPCC and asks the public to help choose the name. Last year's was "Bocks Machina," a play on the adventure group Vox Machina from the web series "Critical Role." Past editions of the DPCC beer have included "The Caped Brewsader" (2013), "Brews Wayne" (2014), "Hulk's Mash" (2015), "Severus Snapricot" (2016), "I am Brewt" (2017) and "Razznarok" (2019). Stay tuned for this year's beer, which will also be available for a limited time at select breweries around town.
FAN EXPO Denver is a program under the Colorado non-profit Pop Culture Classroom, whose mission is to inspire a love of learning, increase literacy and celebrate diversity. Each year, DPCC hosts a literary conference, offers more than 400 hours of educational programming and provides hundreds of family-friendly activities.
